Kojereeds
Kojereeds (formerly Borneo Reeds) was the recipient of the ISF in 2014 and 2016, and has continued to receive other ABRSM funding since. The professional development prize (now called the Malaysian Wind Prize) is awarded to a talented wind player each year, after which they conduct a recital tour across the country and outreach programmes in schools to promote high quality wind playing and to help increase standards of playing. The solo winners have played: French Horn, Clarinet, Bassoon, Oboe and Flute. After 5 years, the prize in 2019 evolved as a Wind Ensemble prize, to increase scope and outreach. 2019 winners are a saxophone quartet and flute ensemble, who will conduct similar activities across Malaysia.
